Dave greeted all who came and began the meeting by outlining all of the current
emails to be sent to the pack. The
Veterans Day ceremony is on Friday the 11th at Tahoma National
cemetery. The Pine Tree boys will be
doing the flag ceremony for the Veterans day assembly at Pine Tree on Thursday
at 9:45am. They should wear their
uniforms to school. The boys need to
line up in 2 rows behind the Webelos II and follow their lead. Bobbi will have her sewing machine at the
November pack meeting. Popcorn pickup
is Saturday at the Behnen’s home after noon.
The Thanksgiving Feast assignments will be sent in email as well.
The
Webelos II den is having their Blue & Gold banquet on February 18th
at the Kent Senior Center from 5(?)-8.
The theme this year is “Into the Future”. The Order of the Arrow was brought up as a possibility to bring
in.
The
November Pack Meeting is our Thanksgiving Feast and will also be focusing on
family trees. The den’s can bring their
regular theme “show-off” stuff. We will
open with the flag ceremony and a blessing, then it’s a serve yourself
dinner. Please send Dave an email if
you have any advancements for the pack meeting.
Kent
is not having a Christmas Parade this year, but is having a Family Day downtown
on December 3rd. We will be
going caroling on that day. We will
meet at 3:45 at Starbucks downtown.
We’ll go caroling from 4-5. Jodi
will try to have a business donate hot chocolate for the boys to warm up with
after caroling. We’ll then go to the
Christmas tree lighting at 5:30.
Christmas
Tree pick up envelopes will be distributed on December 17. We will be meeting at the Safeway on
Kent-Kangley at 9am. Tree pick up is
scheduled for January 7th.
The
December pack meeting is on December 16.
We need pinewood cars for the meeting.
Dave’s dad will be Santa again.
We would like to participate in the Toys for Tots drive. We are going to try and have the Marines
come for inspection and toy pick up.
The scouts should donate new and unwrapped toys.
Coming
Up:
*Round Table Thursday at 7pm
*Veterans Day Friday
*Park Clean Up Saturday
*Pinewood Derby Jan. 28
Ed Zielinski is in charge of renting a track for the
Pine Wood derby. It will be a quick
day, about 1-2 hours. The idea of doing
an “unlimited” race was brought up, instead of just a sibling race.
Because of the shorter race time the pizza crew will
have to come earlier to do the pizza.
We need a pizza shadower.
Dave found out that we can advance order the Pine Wood derby movie, Down and Derby. We would need 25 orders and the movies sell for about $20 each.
“That’s
all that I have,” said Cubmaster Dave as he wrapped up the meeting.
