TOYS FOR TOTS

Our pack will be participating in the Toys for Tots drive sponsored by the Marines. Please bring new and unwrapped toys to the pack meeting on December 16^th. This is a great way to teach our boys about compassion and giving. Please include this in your Christmas shopping and bring a smile to the face of a child in need.

PACK PLANNING MEETING TIME CHANGE

The Pack Planning Meeting will now be held at 7:00pm in Pine Tree’s GTR. Come with your ideas, or to get information about the upcoming pack meeting and any current events.

ROUNDTABLE

This is a free, valuable resource for ideas, crafts, & info. for Cub Scout den meetings and pack meetings. The Green River District hosts the meetings at the LDS Church, 24419 94^th S., Kent. Every 2^nd Thursday each month at 7pm.

THE GREEN PACK

Pack 474 members have been bringing their own cups, plates, and napkins to regular pack meetings to reduce, reuse and recycle! The pack has been doing this for over four years and it really works for OUR environment. Please bring your plates, cups, and utensils to next months pack meeting.

RED ROBIN EASY FUNDRAISER

On November 30th at the Kent Red Robin Only, pack 474 will get 10% of every check when you or your friends present a special flier that is available at the pack meeting and was emailed out to everyone. If you can’t find yours check our website. This is an easy way to earn money for the pack. Give the fliers to your family and friends and we’ll see you on Wednesday, November 30^th.

CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING FUNDRAISER

Don and Jodi O’Neil are going to coordinate this great fundraiser again this year. December 17 will be the day that the printed envelopes are placed on doors. We will meet in the Safeway parking lot (on Kent-Kangley) at 9am. January 7 will be the tree pick up day. Please mark these dates on your calendar.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING

Kent is not having a Christmas Parade this year but we will be going caroling around the downtown businesses on December 3^rd. Find a parking spot and meet at the downtown Starbucks at 3:45. We will go caroling from 4-5, then grab hot chocolate and stay for the tree lighting at 5:30.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES!!!

In the November Roundtable we saw a great skit that showed the importance of volunteers in our pack. It also showed how crucial it is for the workload to be spread out instead of put on a select few. If you are not already volunteering for a position please consider one of the opportunities we have available. We especially need someone to be a PIZZA SHADOWER this year so Meri can teach you how to run this fun fundraiser on your own next year. Come and see Laura Zayic for position descriptions.
