Koi carp
The Koiso (from Japanese Koi “carp”, whose namesake also means “love” or “affection”) are domestic ornamental varieties of common carp. Believed to originate in East Asia, from the Aral Sea to the Caspian Sea. The ornamental cultivation of carp flourished in China during the Qing Dynasty and Japan in the Yayoi Era. Koi is thought to bring good luck. Like the wild carp, the koi fish are very resilient.
In the fourth century A.D. already mentioned in colored tents Chinese and Korean books. However it was not until the nineteenth century when it starts to become popular in a meaningful way in the Niigata prefecture of Japan. Rice farmers and raising food for common carp. they realized that they had tents brighter colors than the usual, which made them more vulnerable to predators.
